"Hi, My name is Nate McCullough on behalf of Expert Village. In the following clips we're going to talk about the correct procedure for replacing your upper and lower ball joints on a 2 wheel drive, full size vehicle. In this clip we're going to talk about tightening down our control arm mounting bolts and, realignment of our index points in order to restore our front end alignment. As you can see what I have here is my socket wrench and my twenty-one millimeter socket for tightening down the retaining nut. I have a crescent wrench on the other side to make sure that I can set my alignment angle with my index point on the vehicle. Okay, what we're going to do, while we're tightening down the fastening nut is use our crescent wrench to align our mark on our camber bolt and the mark on the vehicle frame. Which you can see I have them aligned and it is hand tight right now, so what I'm going to do is go ahead and tighten it all the way down, holding those alignment marks together. Alright, and there you go. That is the proper way to realign your alignment index marks and tighten your upper control arm mounting bolts. You're going to go ahead and repeat that procedure for any other upper control arm fasteners."
