"On behalf of expertvillage.com I'm Lori Wyman with Lori Wyman Casting in North Miami Beach, Florida and today we're going to talk about how to prepare for on camera acting auditions. When you are going to an audition, usually in the waiting room there will be a bulletin board that tells you that days casting information. Make sure you read it, make sure you know if it's a commercial, what product you're auditioning for. Make sure if it's a TV or a film project, you know the name of the project, you know the network. I'll tell you something else is imperative that you know, the shoot date. Make sure you know the shoot date! If you're not available for the shoot, then there's no absolutely reason why you should go on the audition in the first place. Let's say you go on an audition and then they tell you it's shooting July 1st and you say, "oh I'm going to be in Europe July 1st." Well then you've just waisted the practice time, the drive time, the prep time and the actual audition itself. So make sure you read any information pertaining to the casting when you're in the waiting room."
