"Well now we're going to talk about our hands, because other than our arms, our hands are very important when we're on the runway. Nikki is going to demonstrate when we change our hand positions; so go ahead Nikki. Nikki's in front, she's walking with her hands the way we've shown you. When she addresses a stand position and then turns, she raises her hands, which is just beautiful. So, turn around Nikki for me one more time, and I want to address; put your hands, let's do the hands right, perfect. There's two ways you can use your hands. Notice that her fingers are pretty much together, she's not grabbing really hard, and the thumb is back, that is one acceptable hand to ways position. Now let's reverse it Nikki; that's the other, exactly. Thumbs are up, all the fingers are in the back. Turn around Nikki for me. You'll see that they're really pretty from the back, they're slightly separated, but always down. That's because the hand looks beautiful this way, on the back of a garment. Okay, turn around again Nikki. Now show me what it looks like when you don't know how to do this; yeah, really bad, this is really not attractive, it's not showing off her body, nor is it showing off her blouse really well. So we always do, now put one are down Nikki, and one arm up; that's another really good hand position; one arm just in the standing, straight, kind of limp but pretty, and the other here, and then again we can do it the other way as well, see. So now we've taught you the basic hand positions for the runway. Whatever works with the garment, is what you should do. And of course before you go on the runway, you should always check yourself in the mirror, and find out what looks best for the gown, or the clothes that you're wearing. Because after all that's our job, to make the garments look great."
