"Now let's talk about the pivot turn. The pivot turn is really an essential ingredient in doing a great runway walk because once you get down the runway it's impossible to get back unless you know how to turn. So Nicky is going to show us how we address the runway in a pivot turn. Come on Nicky. Nicky puts one foot in front of the other until she knows where she is going to stop. Then as you can see with the leading foot, Nicky do it one more time for me. She stops, goes up on her toes, pivots around and then places her heels back onto the runway in a solid position. One more time Nicky. One, two, turn, stop and then address the runway with the front foot. This is called a simple pivot turn and it's how every model gets out of every tough situation. Beautiful. Lead foot, turn, lead foot, turn. We use pivot turns at the top of the runway at the back of the runway and when we are doing something called a one and a half, we do it also in the center of the runway. So Nicky let's just see it one more time and we're going to put all the elements together. Fabulous, that's what it takes to address a runway."
