"Now we're going to discuss the types of customer service. I'm Pamela Unruh on behalf of Expert Village. The last important factor to remember when you're dealing with a customer with written communication, make sure that you sign off correctly. Now whether or not your communication is on letter head, make sure that the customer has your contact information. Make sure that they know your address, all of your contact numbers rather it be your phone, your fax, some people in some companies do put their cell phone number down, I don't put my personal cell phone number down because believe me you don't want customers calling you Sunday morning at home and they will. But make sure they have a name, make sure that you have a signature block put at the bottom and that should not only contain your name but again, it should reiterate your address, your telephone number, and your fax number. Let the customer know who they should follow up with. If they have a personal contact with your business, again they're going to feel like they're getting a little bit more individualized care and concern. And if they have a name and a contact, then they're going to be more likely to want to talk with you and come back and get your expertise. It's just the last step that you want to follow in providing great customer service through written communication."
