"Some Doofus of the Week, but first a quick question. What is the fear of spiders called? Is that your final answer, arachnophobia ? Absolutely right. Now we start off with a gal in Zulpich, East Germany. She saw spiders in her garage and was so terrified, that she sprayed them with insecticide. But that didn't deter the eight legged creatures. So then she lighted a match, but what that did was ignite the fumes from the insecticide, setting her garage and home on fire. The good news? the spiders are gone. The bad news, she no longer has a home. How about that? Then we have a case from Munich, Germany where a man was throwing out his Christmas tree. But he was in the third floor apartment and was throwing it out his window to the ground below. But as his Christmas tree went out, he also went over, fell three floors and is now in critical condition. And then we have another case of a man, also in Germany. He saw moles in his yard and he didn't like that. So he put in some metal stakes and then attached electric wires to the electric transformer from the power grid. You know what? Not the moles, but that man was the one who was electrocuted and killed. Three candidates for Doofus of the Week. I ask you, who should win that dubious award?"
