Not only is a fever very uncomfortable, but it can also be very dangerous. If your fever reaches 103 degrees, you should go see a doctor right away. But if you haven't got to that stage yet, there are some steps you can take to bring your fever down. An increase in body temperature of one or two degrees generally means a fever, which indicates that the body's self-regulation temperature point has increased. The brain then activates heat effector mechanisms, which included shivers and the releases of hormones such as epinephrine.

Now, in this series of clips, I'm going to talk about how to treat fevers, and in particular, what we're going to talk about is the early signs of recognizing fevers, the signs and symptoms of fevers, and the risks factors and how to reduce getting fevers, and treatment options in both comfort-conventional methods and also alternative methods. So, in this series of clips, we also would talk about alternative ways besides the conventional way of treating fevers, so for example herbal remedies and Asian methods like acupuncture and acupressure, and also diet and nutrition are certain ways that you could address to try to reduce the symptoms of fevers from certain conditions and illnesses."
