"Hello, my name is Dr. Susan Jewell on behalf of expert village I want to talk to you about how to recognize and reduce the risk of food poisoning. Now, in this clip we're going to talk about traveling to foreign places, foreign countries. Now, of course a lot of the cases of food poisoning that come into the ER is from patients or people that traveled on short vacations to a foreign country. Now, some precaution should be taken when you actually do some traveling and that is that in foreign countries you don't know where some of the source of food or water comes from. So, don't take any risks. I recommend and advise that when you go to a foreign country, number one thing is that you don't actually drink water from the tap, cause you don't know where the source of the water comes from. My recommendation is that you bring lots of bottled water, you know, go the hotel or go the local grocery stores and buy local stored bottled water and also to bring a lot of fruit juices with you that's already packaged. Don't buy freshly squeezed juice on the streets or in the stores there, because you never know how they have cleaned or if they have cleaned their bottles or containers properly. So, these are some of the ways you can reduce the risk of getting food poisoning when you're on your vacation to a foreign country."
