"Hello my name is Dr. Susan Jewell and on behalf of expert village, I'm going to talk to you about and how to recognize and how to reduce the risk of food poisoning. In this clip we're going to talk about food preparation because I think a lot of the food poisoning cases are usually caused by un-hygienic ways of preparing the food and storing cooking foods. So, the most important thing you need to do before you even touch any food is to wash your hands. Wash hands with soap, not just run it the under water like this, you need to really wash it well to wash of all the bacteria. So you use soap, give it one or two minutes, rub the soap and clean under the water wash off all those germs before you touch any of the food because if you don't do this, the minute you touch the food you're going to contaminate the food and that's then how you increase the chance of food poisoning. So, when you hands are all nice and clean, next thing is to make sure all your utensils are all nice and clean and really sanitize. And then when you touch the food, the thing to do is you outta to make sure that your food is always washed. Now you could see here this cauliflower has been sitting out for quite a while, it has gone all moldy. You need to make sure that the food is stored properly and washed before you start cooking and eating it. That will reduce the risk of getting."
