"Hello my name is Dr. Susan Jewell and in this clip we’re going to talk about bioidenticals to try to relive some of the signs and symptoms of menopause. Now what is bioidenticals? Well basically it’s a natural form of hormonal replacement therapy, so what happens is that you give, you provide a saliva sample to the pharmacist or the person that‘s going to be experienced at making these bioidenticals and what they do is that they analyze that saliva sample and then they try to make a mixture. So they blend a custom mixture of estrogen and progesterone made from natural products like for example soy bean, wild yam or red clover which has certain amounts of natural hormones in them, naturally produced hormones in these, in these products and so they make it and they try to synthesize this custom blend to, to actually duplicate your saliva sample and then that’s what you will use to try to reduce some of the symptoms of the menopause. So like I said, bioidenticals is not a substitute but another way that you can deal with the symptoms of menopause and it’s like not actual hormone replacement therapy because it shows that if you use more natural products, hormonal products then you’re going to get less side effects, than from the synthetic made hormone replacement therapy drugs so it’s, more or less the side effects of that would be, it would increase your chance of getting strokes, or heart attacks so these are some, another way that you can actually to uh, to address some of the symptoms of menopause but remember before you take anything, any other products into, into your system you need to get recommendation advice from a medical professional.
