"Hi. I'm Theresa Murphy on behalf of Expert Village and in this clip we'll be looking at half downward dog. So to get proper opening and circulation and space from the neck, shoulder, arm, into the hands. The ability to have your arms to extend up over your head is a really big deal. And there's ways we can do that, just by this action alone, or combining it with weight bearing and a more active stretch. So our half downward dog, starting the same way we did in the previous clip, on all fours, hands spread nicely, fingers really open and the proper weight on the inner edge of the hands versus the outer edge of the hands, then you just allow your hips to come back to your heels. Letting the arms stretches, letting the head hang. Forehead meets the floor. You can take it a step further if you like. More distance between the hands and the knees, in keeping the hips up over the heels, to give a little bit more opening through the armpits as you bring the head to the floor. If this is too much, if it's too much stretch for the arms, you can support the head with a block."
