"Yoga Hand Massage for Carpal Tunnel: I am Theresa Murphy on behalf of Expert Village. And so one of the first things that's really simple to do that can help relieve pressure in the wrist is massage. Everybody loves massage. So- and if you've ever had a massage, you know that fancy technique that the massage therapist will do to open up this part of the hand and wrist. So what you can start to do with a partner is just gently start to massage and spread the bones of the wrists, the muscle, the thenar muscle here of the thumb. Let's get a little bit of blood flow, a little bit of movement. You can tell if your person has stiffness or tightness in the wrist if they hold a camera for a living or if they are keyboardists or ten keypad or a chef or they drive a lot gripping the steering wheel- any of those things. Just being humans, we're graspers, we're constantly grasping whatever it is we're working on. So this is a good place to start."
