"TONY KAPECHUK: Hi, my name is Tony. And on behalf of Expert Village, I'll be showing you how to turn this check socket into a laminated definitive prosthesis. All right, now we're ready to lay up our socket. The first two layers are going to consist of tube carbon. This is a braided material. So first, we'll go ahead and we'll put half of our layer onto our mold and then we'll tie off a knot on top around our center screw. This is just ordinary thread you can get pretty much anywhere. And we'll just tie a nice, tight knot. With your knot tight, you can then reflect the rest of your metrials down over, like so. It's really important to open your fibers up around these four cap screws that are here. If carbon is over these cap screws, the top plate won't sit flat."
