"WHITNEY TESLER: Hi, my name is Whitney Tesler on behalf of Expert Village, talking to you about how to become vegan. We're going over a list of essential ingredients. It seems there are a lot of natural salad dressings out there but if you can't find them in your local supermarket, VegWeb.com is a great website with many different recipes on it and you can look up how to make your own. And Vegenaise, I showed you. It's just like mayonnaise. Pickles are good; sauerkraut, homemade, I really like to make, and pure fruit jellies you can eat. Peanut butter and jelly still and all that good stuff. Sweeteners: Agave nectar is a natural nectar, sweet like sugar; it's got a little different taste but it's really good. Molasses, maple syrup, stevia powder which is the herb. Some people use that as sugar. It's slightly bitter though. You can find that in your natural food store also. And evaporated cane juice which is as good for you as these other sweeteners but it's better than pure sugar. And spices, all herbs and spices which are really great to add flavor to your meals and they have no fats and they're all vegan."
