Hi, welcome back to our show. As I was saying, in those meridians themselves are these pressure points or in Japanese they're called "subos" where the energy can be accessed. Those energy places - when I'm talking about energy, I'm referring to chi. What is chi? It's called the "life-force". In all the various martial arts, they talk about chi, we're going from our center. From that chi, if you have a, they refer to a healthy chi or an unhealthy chi. I know it sounds strange but the chi itself is about feeling good, feeling vibrant. In shiatsu we're accessing chi through these various pressure points that correspond to the organs in our bodies, for instance the kidney or the bladder, or the stomach, the lung or the heart. If we're healthy, we're balanced in all of those places. Along with the chi are the five elements: wood, fire, earth, metal and water. Those are the five elements that we ourselves have, that the outside world also has. When we're healthy, we're balanced in all of those five elements, and our chi is flowing.
