"SARAH HAUER: Hi. I'm Sarah Hauer. SIG HAUER: And I'm Sig Hauer and we're professional practitioners of traditional Chinese medicine. SARAH HAUER: We're here on behalf of Expert Village. SIG HAUER: And welcome to our video. SARAH HAUER: Hi there. We're going to demonstrate another acupuncture treatment. We have a very generous volunteer, [PH] Gina, and we are going to do some acupuncture on her back. So the first thing I'm going to do is disinfect the area. I've already washed my hands and we're going to alcohol some points along her spine and next, I'm going to open the needles. The needles are all pre-packaged and sterile as we've talked about before. And what we're going to be working on is tonifying the kidneys and the liver and the spleen. And the kidney energy, in traditional Chinese medicine, corresponds very much to the low back, so we're also going to be working on some low back discomfort. What I'm doing right now is counting the vertebrae to find the location of acupuncture points."
