"Hi! My name is Dr. Sean Flaherty from Summer Chiropractic in Puyallup, Washington and I would like to talk to you a little bit about the athletes that receive chiropractic care. I think the latest that I heard was somewhere between 85% and 90% of our Olympic athletes receive chiropractic care and it is not because necessarily they are in pain or because they are sick or anything like that but it is because they win races by tenths of a second and they want to make sure that their biomechanics are just 100%. There is no fault at all in their gait, the way they run, etc. and so their bodies are finely tuned machines and of course good spinal hygiene and biomechanics and also extremities and the joint in that are very important to them. You will see tons of testimonials professional athletes such as Emmitt Smith and Joe Montana, Michael Jordan, Tiger Woods, Lance Armstrong, Arnold Schwarzenegger, and the list really goes on and on and on. I know my own personal experience I played premiere rugby in the United Sates and if it wasn’t for chiropractic I wouldn’t able to take the field, before I received chiropractic I would go to practice and I would wake up the next day and barely be able to walk and as soon as I receive chiropractic, I mean one adjustment and I was up, moving around, pain free, and back on the field and it kept me playing for 13 years and so very important I think in the career of today’s athlete."
