Video Transcript

"Hi! My name is Dr. Sean Flaherty from Summer Chiropractic in Puyallup, Washington and I want to talk to you a little bit about your spine, your spinal column and your nervous system. You know your spinal column houses your spinal cord, which is the literally the lifeline of your body. It tells your body how to regulate every single function, whether it be the sensation in your hands, the strength you have in picking something up or whether it is telling your heart how to beat, your lungs how to breathe, your digestive organs how to process the food, and we as chiropractors we always look to the spine to help our patients, because of that, because it regulates every function in the body. There is a saying in chiropractic “above, down, inside, out” and what that means is your brain… the message start is like the superior computer of your body is your brain, an the messages come down through the spinal cord and in between each vertebrae bone comes out spinal nerves, they go to specific area of your body and so we look at the spinal column to make sure that is complete and in perfect alignment so that the nerves that come down from the brain and exit that spinal cord have no interference whatsoever and that message from the brain out to the body is 100%."
