We've talked about the polycarbonate option for children. But there are a few other options that I want to talk to you about for a child's lenses that may be important. First off let me add that polycarbonate is covered by most insurances. Polycarbonate also has the scratch resistance and the UV protection on it although it's not necessarily very scratch resistant. The two options that I'd like to add to that conversation is going to be transition lenses. And transition lenses are the ones that change from light to dark. These lenses, while you might consider them to be definitely a more adult option, actually kids can really benefit from these. Kids are constantly going from outside to inside. And they rarely have the appropriate sunglass protection. I mean how many children really have a separate set of prescription sunglasses? They don't. Matter of fact I can't think of one case where a parent has come in and bought prescription sunglasses for their child. So what's protecting their eyes from the sun when they're outside? The answer is nothing. So transition options is actually probably more pertinent for a child than it may be for an adult. Adults often times have to go in to work and don't want their glasses to be shaded when they go inside. Although they do change in about 3 minutes from dark to clear. And if you're a child that's less important. They're going to change within I think, an adequate amount of time. And they have the sunglass protection that they need when they're outside. And they're outside more frequently than adults.
