An IV sedation, because we are establishing an IV and giving you more strong medications in order to get you adequately controlled. We are required to basically do some special monitoring. Because, with the medications we give you you're in such a relaxed state that often times we need to be more closely monitoring things like your airway and your blood pressure, pulse and respirations and things like that. So, in order to do that we basically have you attached to a special monitor that basically helps us monitor these things while we are doing our dentistry. That way, we ensure that again you are adequately relaxed and that your vital signs are still completely within normal limits. Enabling us again, to do all the dentistry we need. Keep you relaxed, pain free and sleeping while we're working.
