" Hi! I am Monica and another strengthening exercise that we are going to do is another good one for the hamstrings, the muscles that are in the back of your thigh. So it is good for arthritis of the hip and the knee as well. It is great too because you are not going to be doing any weightbearing through your hip or your knee joint so it is a lot more tolerable than some of the standing exercises. So the easiest thing to do is if we have a rolling chair of some kind, you can either put on a carpet like I have here if you want a little bit extra challenge or a tiled floor works good too; it’s just a little bit easier to slide along. You will be taking your heels and just trying to pull yourself forward using your heels. So right like that, so it’s digging your heels into the ground and you are trying to essentially bend your legs. I am going to roll back and show you one more time. You are bending your knees to pull you forward so it is a good again hamstring stretch right like this."
