"Hi! I am Monica. Another exercise that I am going to show you for arthritis is a strengthening exercise for your butt and the back of your thigh or your hamstring muscles. So find a spot on the floor or the bed and go ahead and lie on your stomach. You can put a pillow underneath your forearms, you can kind of prop yourself upon your forearms whatever is comfortable for you. We will be doing it with our left leg here. So the easiest way to do it is if you have your leg bent, this is going to offer the least amount of resistance so you can start here if you want to and what we are going to do is just try and pull your leg off the ground. So I am not moving very much at all and it is just coming straight from the hip up like that. If that is too easy for you, you can straighten your leg out and now you have to lift your whole leg off the ground. So again not very high, you are not trying to pull it back like this so that you are bending your back too. It is just coming straight from your hip right like that. You can hold it for 3-5 seconds if you want to or else you can also get an ankle weight put around your ankle if you want a little bit more resistance. "
