Video Transcript

"Hi! My name is Monica and today I am going to be talking about arthritis and some of the things you can do to help with your arthritis. It is good to know if you do have arthritis, you probably should consult your doctor unless it is just minor arthritis. If it is, then it is easy enough to just take some Ibuprofen and Advil that type of thing to help with the irregular aches and pains that you might have. Heat can also feel really good to help kind of warm the joint, loosen up the joint especially right in the morning when you first wake up, you feel like you are really stiff when you get out of bed. Sometimes you know taking a nice hot shower, put a little heat on your joint will help things out. If you are really, really inflamed, you have a lot of pain and irritation then ice could be another thing that you can do for that joint. In these next segments here, I am actually going to be talking more about knee and hip arthritis just because those are the most common spots to get arthritis because they are weight-bearing bones that have to endure a lot of the brunt. But again you can get arthritis anywhere in your ankles, your fingers, your wrists, but we will be talking about knee and hip."
