" Hi! I am Monica and I am going to show you another ankle exercise that will help with your Achilles tendon and it is just up and down right like that. What you are doing is you are helping to strengthen a little bit and just keep some motion in through your Achilles tendon area. The up and down motion more specifically when you are actually pointing down is going to be working your calf muscles which in turn will be moving your Achilles tendon. So just really gentle slow motions up and down, come up as far as you can without pain, down as far as you can without pain and if you can only come to here before you get pain, that’s fine. Just keep it within this range of motion right like that, nice and slow. Usually you will do these 30 seconds, a minute, two minutes whatever you can tolerate. The longer you can do it, the better it is, up and down right like that, nice and slow. You don’t want anything too fast; you want to make sure you are controlling the movements. If you want to you can kind of hold as you come up towards the top for a couple of seconds, move it back down and hold it as well; again just up and down and nice and controlled."
