"Hi, I am Monica. I am going to show you another range of motion exercise for CRPS. This time it is for the wrists so again we will do with the right hand and just want you to do circle with your wrist, just like we were doing with the shoulder and the elbow, just nice big circles for the wrist. You want to make sure you do the other direction as well; just trying to get nice range of motion in there. If you cannot tolerate doing the big circles, just start with little smaller ones and then kind of work your way on up in both directions. These range of motion exercises are really important to make sure that if you have any type of edema and swelling it helps kind of break up some of that edema, help get it back out of your system nice and slow. You might only be able to do 10 or 15 seconds worth and you can work your way up to 30 seconds, or minute’s worth; again keeping your circles as big as you can tolerate. Be sure you switch. You want to make sure that when you are doing it you have your elbow bent, if you have your elbow straight, you tend to kind of move your arm a lot too, so just nice and easy with the elbow bent makes it a little bit simpler on you.
