"Hi! I am Monica and this is another exercise for CRPS. This time it is for the lower extremity and again this is another carrying exercise. You want your leg that is affected by CRPS to get used to being able to walk and bear weight through it again. So you want to gradually start building up the tolerance to weightbearing. So one way you can do that is actually the same way that we did with the upper extremity. Carrying some kind of weights in your hands when you are walking around; there is just a little bit more weight going through your feet. Another thing you can do is if it is your right leg that is affected by CRPS, you can try, when you are standing place more of your weight on your right leg, so your left leg would just be barely touching the ground. Another thing you can do too is when you are just standing you can put your leg upon something, so right leg is the leg that has CRPS, left leg is the unaffected leg, so now all my body weight is on my CPRS leg right there. So couple of things you can do again you just want to make weightbearing more tolerable and so you just slowly, slowly increase it so again you probably start off with something like the weights in the hand.
