"Hi! I’m Monica and we’re going to show you another strengthening exercise for your calf muscles. It’s very similar to the one we just did, the exception being that now instead of having your knees bent you’re going to have them straight. So find some stairs at your home, grab a couple of phone books and stack them up, and go and get started. In our case here, we grab a couple of books, put them against a wall next to a handrail something like that, so you have something to hold on to and you are not trying to balance. You want to make sure you feet are on. Make sure the balls of your feet are right there, nice and easy, knees straight and just up and down. You want to be sure and let your heels drop down below the books or the stairs. You can also turn your toes in so that you can be pigeon-toed, knee straight again, up and down, letting those heels drop. You can start off doing maybe 10 of these. Once they get easy you can go to 15, 20, even more than that. "
