"Hi! I’m Monica and today another thing that I am going to talk about, that will help you with carpal tunnel syndrome, would be stretching. The first thing you are going to want to stretch are these muscles that run all down in front of your forearm, your forearm flexors. They have this type of action. They bend your wrist. They bend your fingers. They start up here at your elbows. You want to stretch those out really well. Easiest way to do that would be just to bend the wrist back and bend the fingers back. You should feel a nice stretch all right in through here. You can do it with your arm straight if you want to. Usually if your arm is straight, you will get a little bit more of a stretch. With any type of stretch then you are going to hold anywhere between 30 and 60 seconds. If this is too much of a stretch for you, its causing pain, you can back off that a little bit. Maybe do less with your wrists extended, less of the fingers extended, and just the nice relaxed stretch."
