"Hi! Nili Nathan with Expert Village, I want to talk to you a little bit about the benefits of getting whole foods from picking it right off of your fruit tree. This fruit I just picked off of my orange tree and I’m going to get the most benefit of it and the live energy from the fruit because it was just picked. As you know when you pick a flower or a fruit as soon as it gets picked it goes through the process of dying and when you go to your local grocery store and you’re trying to decide between a fruit or an orange juice that’s been package, keep in mind the orange juice that’s been packed package has gone through a longer process from the farm to the trucks to the grocery store is a longer process and therefore you’re not getting the benefit of eating a whole food, so that’s one thing they consider. The other thing is in the packaged orange juice often is going to be added sugar and some other preservatives to give it a long shelve life, so I prefer just to eat the fruit of the orange but if you want an orange juice here’s a good recipe that I like to make for my family. I use the whole fruit, I peel it obviously but I try to keep as much as the white part as possible cause that has nutrients and the seeds I keep and what you want to do is put about I need some more ice there, about a quarter cup of good bottled water and couple of handfuls of ice right into this vita mix here, put two oranges right inside the blender and that’s it and you can add you know if you want a little variety you can add some vanilla extract or a little natural sweetener like honey or maple syrup or something like that but I’m not going to do that. So here we go…and there it’s a frosty orange drink that’s natural satisfying obviously filled with vitamin C and some potassium as well and there’s my orange drink doesn’t that look good. Mmmm this is great I’m going to share it with my camera guy."
