Video Transcript

"Hi! I'm Jenny Cooper here for Expert Village. I'm a Vanderbilt dietetic intern, and I'm here to talk to you today about the freshman 15. Does the freshman 15 affect girls more than boys? Yes, because girls tend to be more vulnerable to weight gain than boys. Female college students tend to snack on junk food more often than male college students. Female college students also use food to socialize with their friends more than boys. Male college students are more likely to continue athletic activities such as working out at the gym and intramural sports than their female counterparts."
