"We're back. We're going to be talking about your child's food allergy and the symptoms that could possibly happen. Things that you want to look for. Some common things that you wouldn't even think would be a problem and that you may not even be allergic to, for some reason your child has built up an allergy to this. And it could have some serious, serious symptoms. Something could even be the child could stop breathing, they may have breathing difficulty, go into anaphylactic shock, and those are just some of the major ones. And those can happen do to something like peanuts. Peanuts are known to and lots, quite a few people are actually allergic to peanuts, to the point where they can't even be other nuts can't even be in the vicinity of the peanut and they will have a reaction to it. Severity could be shock, could be breathing difficulty, your throat starts closing up. This happens a lot with shellfish, also. And the other things are mucus forming foods like wheat and milk. These are both very mucus forming foods. So they can actually, your child can develop a lot of mucus problems where they're either coughing or they're doing a lot of throat clearing, that (throat clearing sound) feeling, that kind of feeling. These can cause that a lot with your child, especially skin diseases like eczema, acne, those types of things can be attributed to wheat and milk especially. These are obviously more food sensitivities and basically not true allergies but they are symptoms and just the mere taking these foods away can alleviate many of these more minor type symptoms and that can really help your child out."
