"I’m Melissa with Woolenton Optometry for Expert Village here to tell you how to choose your eyeglasses. One of the main types of frames that you can choose is a plastic frame, plastic frames are a little thicker and heavier but they tend to be more of a dramatic look so a lot of people feel that they have a little bit more style to them, you’re able to do more things with the temples like here where you can add some intricate details onto the side, again just add a little bit more style to it. One of the other benefits is that plastic frames usually don’t have nose pads so as long as it fits your bridge correctly, it’s a very comfortable fit and you don’t have to worry about having the two little pieces pressing on the side of your nose like here, also with plastic you can get a lot of vivid colors with it, like with these two, they tend to just like stand out a lot more and a lot of people feel that they are more comfortable as well. And those are the characteristics of a plastic frame. "
