Video Transcript

"I’m Melissa with Woolenton Optometry for Expert Village here to tell you how to choose your eyeglasses. The fit of your eyeglasses is the most important part of your selection. If the glasses are too tight on your head that can cause headaches, if they are too wide; it causes your lenses to be too thick and causes distortion in the lenses. Also it just doesn’t look as good, as glasses that fit properly, what they do look like. You also want to keep in mind, with the progressive lenses and with the bifocals you need enough area to get the bifocal in so you can properly read out of those lenses so you want to make sure that the depth of the lens is a fairly decent size because something along this line might not be enough to get your full bifocal in and therefore you’re lenses wouldn’t be as useful as they could be otherwise and that’s why the fit is the most important part of glasses.
