"Hello, my name is Melissa and on behalf of Expert Village today were going to be talking about how to prevent a cavity and how to save your smile. In this clip let's talk about how to prevent a cavity while working or traveling. I know many people get so busy that after a long days work you haven't had time to brush your teeth. So what are a couple of ways to prevent a cavity while working or on the go. Well it's some very easy things. One is even carrying a bottle of water with you. Rinsing your mouth out at least trying to get some of the sticky things off your teeth. Simply drinking water very, very important. I find I have very tight teeth. Let's say that you?re going out to a restaurant and you've had a steak or you had corn on the cob or you had something that gets caught in your teeth a tooth pick might do it, doesn't really work for me. What I do, I carry dental floss with me and you won?t imagine how many people need dental floss and don't bring it with them and I can always pull it out which I like, so, everyone it really does make a difference. Excuse yourself, go to the washroom and use it. It really does make a difference. Another thing to put in your purse or carry in your car if it's not summer cause you don't want your gum to melt, is dental gum. Chewing a couple pieces of gum after a busy day of work you know you've had lunch with your friend, you've been in the office. Chew a couple of pieces of gum it will at least help to get rid of some of the bacteria that's been lingering in your mouth. At least it's a start. We?re talking about some preventative ways to do that. Another thing is, what I tend to do is if you work away from home. In your desk put in some toothbrush and tooth paste. If you have a locker, just keep it there and it's always a good thing. It's always a good thing. You might not use it every day but for the day that you want it, for the day that you have a that sugary food, or a really sticky something that you have something on your teeth it can come in handy and could be a life saver."
