"Hello, my name is Melissa and on behalf of Expert Village, today we are going to be talking about how to prevent a cavity and how to save your smile. In this clip, let's talk about how to prevent a cavity by flossing our teeth. I know so many people who do not floss their teeth. And it is so important to and I say it is extremely important to floss your teeth. It saves your smile. It's a universal truth and it's very true. How you do you anything in your life is pretty much how you do everything. So, if you think about it for a moment. If you don't brush your teeth very often or very well or very long or if you don't floss your teeth, how you do anything is how you do everything. So I, honestly, look at a persons teeth, their smile, and you can tell a lot about a person by the way they take care of their oral and dental hygiene. You really can. If you look deep enough, you really get a clear picture of what that person is all about. Do they take really good care of themselves. Do they take time to take care of themselves. If they do, chances are they do in all parts of their life. If they don't, chances are too that they don't, in many parts of their life. So live by this universal truth. How you do anything in your life is how you do everything. So, that leads me into flossing. Let's talk about flossing. It doesn't matter what type of floss you use. Some people like..there's a glide floss which is great if you have really tight teeth like mine. Sometimes I find that this type of floss here is a little bit thicker but it gets caught in my teeth sometimes and it sometimes breaks. The glide, it's called Comfort Plus, but the glide strips are sometimes a bit easier to get in the teeth. If you do have tight teeth. But, interestingly enough, flossing, it reaches nearly 35% of your mouth that your toothbrush can't reach. We'll talk about using a water pick in later clips but...35%, so think about it like this. Brushing your teeth without flossing your teeth is like taking a shower and only cleaning two thirds of your body. So, brushing is not just enough. You also need to floss as well."
