"The home care for Dental implant is no different than taking care of your natural teeth. You have to think of the dental implant as that or similar to that of your natural teeth. Most importantly, I tell the patient is before you sleep, you go to the bathroom, you brush and floss. Everything exactly the same, you don't change a beat. The only thing is I want the patient to add one more thing. It's to add a product, something like this. This is just one brand. There's many different brands out there. They all do the same thing. You just have to find the one that works well in your hand. This is something called water pick. What it does is it has a reservoir where you fill the water. And then the pressure, once you turn it on, it has the pressure. And the water comes out through the tip in a jet stream. Now the pressure can be from one to ten. Ten being the most powerful. Don't go more than five. You want to keep the pressure minimal. If it's too high, you will damage the tissue. The tissue will actually shrink and you will expose more of the root structure. You need to flush the debris out from the pockets of the gm. And I like to mix the water with some Listerine. Basically seventy percent water, thirty percent Listerine. And you do that every night, what you'll find is that the tissue of the gum become more and more firm and they become very healthy. And we know as long as the gum is healthy, the natural teeth, the implant will all stay the way they're supposed to be. And they will be nice and strong. That's why three regiments. The brushing, the flossing, the water pick every night. If you can do that, you really won't have any dental problem and the implant definitely will be for longevity."
