Video Transcript

"After doing your twelve poses in Sivananda, it's time to take Savasana Corpse Pose. It's a wonderful way to seal practice. It also gives you an opportunity to slow down the heart rate, slow down the breath and let loose some of the lactic acids that have gotten into your system. So, I'm going to have Resa here demonstrating it. First, I'm going to have you come laying down on your back. Arms out to your sides. And, making sure we release all the tension. I'm going to have you lift up your right arm. Really tense up, tense up, tense up, relax it down. Lifting up the left arm tensing up, really make that fist tense tense tense. Relax it down. Right leg lifts, tense tense tense. Press out through the toes. Press out through the heel. And, just relax it down. Left leg lifts, tense tense tense and releasing it down. Let your feet come a little bit wider apart, a good two feet apart. Notice, her arms are about forty-five degrees palms up. Her face, facial muscles soften. Allow the heart to soften. Allow your breath to go to a nice natural gentle flow. Let go of all those repetitive thoughts of the day. And, spend just a few minutes to yourself."
