A variation of triangle is a nice side angle lunge, and Sue here will be demonstrating it. So first I'm going to have you come into a nice five star again. Perfect. Turning the right toes to the right, drop that left heel back, perfect. Now bending the right knee slowly and gently release the right elbow onto that right knee and lengthen up through that arm. Beautiful. Again, opening up the hips, you want to stay between those nice two panes of glass here, and if you want to take it a little bit further here you have the option to drop that right hand down to the mat. Now notice how her neck stays in alignment with the spine. She's not drooping down the head or lifting it up, it's a beautiful, nice alignment. And again, you can also take this pose one last step and come into a nice spine. So she's going to reach the right arm underneath her, the left arm goes behind the back and she's clasping her fingers together. Now still, she's still between the two panes of glass. Now slightly look up, yes, lifting that left shoulder up to the sky, side angle lunge with a bound. Now, coming out of it the same way that you came into it, opposite: drop the arm, extend the left arm up. Now bring the elbow back to the knee and let's just take it a little step further: drop that arm long overhead, reach through those fingertips, lengthen through the side, allowing the arm to help you, inhaling all the way up, toes back facing center, bend the knees, step together.
