"Pose 12 in the Sivananda series is Trikonasana Triangle pose and we are going to have Sue join. It is a wonderful pose. It really lengthens through the side of the body and it also empowers the legs. Sue, I'm going to have you come into a nice five star so take the right foot out to the right, extend your arms out and now turning the right toes to the right, drop the left heel back, beautiful and toes slightly to the right. Now notice the hips and shoulders are facing straightforward and we are going to come into it very slowly to get your alignment. We are going to be lifting up the left hip and she almost gets a nice little crease right at the right hip. Now someone is going to be pulling the right arm out, pulling the arm out and just gently lower it down wherever it lands. Now the most important part of this pose is staying between two panes of glass, literally if you are standing right here two nice panes of glass so she is not jutting out back through here and not leaning forward. Sometimes when you come into the pose you can lower the arm down to your hip, kind of open up beautiful, extend the arm all the way back up, palm facing straight out first, lengthen, lower the arm long over head palm towards the Earth and literally stretch fingertip to hip. This leg is nice and empowered, strong thigh and you can take a little look up if you like, opening the chest up to the sky, slight opening, beautiful allowing the arm to help you, inhaling all the way back up, toes back to center, bending the knees and step together."
