"Pose 7 of the Sivananda series is Salabasana, Locust Pose. I'm going to have Sue here demonstrating it. There are two hand positions you can use in Salabasana, Locust Pose. You bring the hands underneath you while you're laying onto the bellow. You can have the hands together, like this, nice long arms, lowered as far down your body as possible. Or, you can take it like this, or this. It's your choice. Now this happens to be my preference, in my practice. So likes to bring her hands together. Now notice how the thumbs are side-by-side that way you're not crunching a thumb while you're underneath, it's underneath you. So Sue, go ahead and come down onto your belly. Very important in Locust Pose, that your chin stays on the mat at all times. This is a nice, gentle back bend, a very powerful back bend I should say. So bringing your hands underneath you, find your preference. She's reaching down as far as she can underneath her, she's found her hand position that she prefers. Relax, take one full breath first. And inhale, lift up both legs, yes, press into those arms. Press, press, press, lift, lift, lift, lift. One more breath. Take a good inhale. Exhale gently, lower it down. Beautiful. Bring your hands out from underneath you, find your pillow, coming into Crocodile Relaxation, forehead on your pillow. Toes together, heels apart."
