"The modification pose for Cobra, is Sphinx Pose. If your practice does not allow Cobra at this point in time, you can always come into Sphinx Pose. I'm going to have Sue here demonstrating for us. So Sue go ahead and lay down on your belly. This is a little bit more of a gentle back bend. Just relax for just a minute. Same with Cobra Pose, your legs are completely relaxed. You don't even have a lower part of the body in this pose. It's all about that wonderful spine. So, coming into Sphinx, bring the elbows underneath the shoulders. Yes. Now measure off, make sure the elbows aren't too far apart. Beautiful. You want to be able to grab either side of the arms. Release the arms straight forward, let's begin to look forward. Beautiful. You should feel this pose right here in the lower part of the back. Now as you go into it. Relax the shoulders back down and away from the ears. Gazing forward, allow that spine to start sinking down. Relaxing into the pose. And, we're going to come out of it now. Take a nice inhale. Exhale slowly, release it down, and come into Crocodile Relaxation. Pillow out of the hands, forehead on your pillow, toes together, heels apart."
