"This tape is about why people get sick. I'm going to warn you, if you decide you want to be a vegetarian, and you want to be ultra careful, you might go to a nutritionist, and you might sit down with him and say, "I'm considering being a vegetarian, can you help me". You also need to be careful, was that nutritionist trained as vegetarian, or does the nutritionist believe that you have to eat meat. Some people believe that you can't get a lot of vitamins in meat, unless you eat meat. So be real careful in who you're consulting. But also when you decided to suddenly become a vegetarian, be really, really careful. And one wonderful place to start may be is with a Mediterranean diet. They eat a lot of grains, they eat a lot of fresh vegetables. And start slow, take your time, don't just suddenly tell your body, "oh guess what, you're never going to get something that you really like and enjoy eating, you'll never going to get that again". The immune system is used of what you're giving it, so take your time, be careful, make sure that you are eating the same way you were, and that you're supplementing enough protein to do what you were doing in the past. If suddenly you don't feel good and maybe your blood sugar is starting to drop, and things like that, you might want to go to the doctor, and say, "am I doing okay, what's going on inside". So listen to your body, be really, really careful, and eat much more than when you were eating meat, maybe eat more food. The reason why people get sick in my opinion, is because they don't do their homework, they're not careful, they just suddenly decide one day, they're never going to eat meat again, and they change their entire diet, and their body goes into shock. So take your time, do your homework, do research, make sure you have your kitchen stocked with all kinds of other proteins, and enjoy it. If you have to eat meat again just to feel better one or two meals, go right ahead, don't feel bad about it, start again the next day, it's well worth the process."
