"This is Karen Frazier and we are doing a demonstration for Expert Village. The next line we have the pelvic line and this line basically is a sciatic nerve and hemorrhoids would actually be in this area, if someone troubles with hemorrhoids that would be right at the ball of the feet and you would basically work that area. So once again, the foot is divided into the 5 sections and by working those sections you are working these various organs and body systems. Now I do want to point out that reflexology is not a medical treatment. Basically the purpose of reflexology is to help to stimulate the nervous system and it helps to promote natural healing. The body itself does have natural mechanisms in it and by stimulating these various zones; you are actually releasing energy flow in the body. Basically when something is out of balance in the body, it is usually because a lack of flow of energy to whatever part of the body is being affected. So when you are working these zones and sections of the foot, you are actually helping to release the energy flow in the body so that the body can then be able to heal itself of whatever is ailing it.
