"DREW NOAH: So if you're using The Daily Plate and there's a food you eat that you can't find on here, well first you want to search for it and search a couple of times, maybe try different--search for the brand, the brand and the type of food it is or just the type of food, but try to find it. But if it's not in there you can go to this link right here to add an item and you've got a couple of options here. At first it says, "If you'd like to add this to your food," of course you go to you're my plate first and search for it. But if you really know that you need to add the item, you would just--you have a couple of options, I'd like to enter the brand or restaurant for this item, this is a generic item, item name and item description. So let's see if--I know this is already in their database but--let's see what happens when you go to step 2. So I've got the--this is what happ--this is what you see, you can add an item description and then you want to enter in all the nutritional facts so you want to have the item on hand so you can enter everything in all the way down to all the--everything. And you save the changes and then once it's approved the item will be--now be in the database. You see it automatically added the brand image that was there. So I'm pretty sure either that doesn't exist or it's already in there so I'm not going to actually do that. You can also choose to add an entire recipe. And you can see their example here for garlic fried chicken which includes multiple ingredients and then you can write your recipe title and do set it up like this. Set all the ingredients to the recipe so you can add a whole recipe kinda like it was a saved meal. But that's how you use the add an item feature in The Daily Plate and remember one of the great things about this website is it has so many foods already in their database so make sure you just search for it first before you go adding things 'cause there's a really good chance it's already there so."
