"DREW NOAH: So now I'm going to show you how you can create a saved meal on The Daily Plate. And what this is, it's a group of items that you eat in a meal that maybe something you eat all the time. So their example is, if--for a lot of times for breakfast you have cereal, milk and a banana, you'd want to put those things together so you can just add the meal instead of having to add all three individually every time you want to track your calories. So I'll show you how to create a meal. So we'll just go to this 'my saved meals' on the right hand side and to create a new meal. So the way I like to do it is let's say I'm going to do a breakfast sandwich, I'll just do breakfast and then write out what it is, egg sandwich with cheese. So now, I want to start searching for the foods in this meal. And you'll see down here that the foods that I've already been searching for earlier are all right here. So basically, like, this cheese I've got here, if I use that on multiple meals, after I find it it's going to be right here and easy to access. But let me go ahead and search for the cheese. And I use the Tillamook brand and its sliced cheese, so I'll search for that and here are all the sliced Tillamook. Add that right there, one slice. Next, I use 12 grain bread, search for that and then you can see you've got all your brands right here. Let's say it's this one, right here. And an egg, just one whole egg. So you can see, as I go, I'm just searching for the items in my meal and then I want to adjust the serving size. In this case, the serving size is okay. And you'll see if I uncheck it, it's not going to be included in the meal. So only what's checked is going to be included in a meal. So after you have everything checked, make sure you've named it right, you just click create meal. So now it saves, so I'll go back to my plate. And then you'll see in my saved meals, there it is right there. So if I click on it, I get a little break down. We got the total calories and then what's in my meal, egg, bread and sliced cheddar. Now, actually I just realized that I didn't quite--I only entered one piece of bread when I should have entered two. So if you make a mistake like that, that's real easy; you just come to this part, you click on it and then go to 'edit'. And it's going to take us back straight to where we were. I'll put two in for the bread, 'cause it's two slices, save it, and there we go. Just give it a second to load here. So now, it includes both slices of bread and you can see the calories have gone up. So to add this to my day, I'll just click on it. And then I can do, I ate this today, yesterday or pick a date. I'll put it on today and there you go, it shows up in my food items. I can set this--the servings consumed right here. Again, it would be two if I ate two sandwiches for some reason but since this is a meal, mostly likely your serving is just going to be one. And then you can see if I click on it, I can even get a break down of what's in this meal and see the individual calories for everything. And I could even delete out individual items if maybe I didn't have the slice of cheese with it. I could delete that out of my egg sandwich. So you can set up your basic meal and then kind of customize it. Like, if I had some, like, a tomato on there, I could just add a single tomato after I added my breakfast, my standard sandwich. So you kinda get an idea how that works and that's how you create the saved meals in the 'my saved meals' function or the part right here section."
