"In this segment we're going to talk about the founder of Reiki and his Gakkai, his community. The founder of this wonderful healing system is Sensei's Mikao Usui who was born in Kioki, Japan in 1860. He was born when Japan was opening up to the rest of the world, but it was being inundated with ideas of people who were spreading different ways of thinking. So into Mikao's world he was exposed to these other ways and it brought about him a way of seeing the world. He was a seeker and he wanted to know more. As he went on in his life he became adamant in finding out the secret teachings and healing methods of other individuals. And so became his quest for the source of healing potential in each and every one of us. In our next segment learn about Usui's Satori, his enlightenment experience on Mount Koriyama."
