Video Transcript

"This is Eileen Dey on behalf of Expert Village and this segment is the Japanese translation of the word Reiki. Rei is a character that represents the universal, the all encompassing element that we are connected to. It's depicted by two parallel lines that represent your own unique ability to channel this flow. Ki is energy and in Asia Ki is the substance of life and so its character is represented by rice boiling in a pot and giving off steam. It's the potential and so together Reiki represents mankind's universal potential for healing and transformational ability. In our next segment is the connection of Ki, Chi, and Prana in other cultures."
