"This is Eileen Dey on behalf of expert village and in this segment we'll talk about the first of the pre-history of India. Civilization in India stretches back over five-thousand years. In this last century, archeological ruins of a great civilization called Mohenjo-daro were unearthed. In this civilization individuals were able to construct ways of running water, washing cleansing, for a time in the world when it was unheard of. In the Indus valley the continuity of Indian civilization was due to its ability to adapt to alien ideas, harmonized contradictions and mold new soft patterns. In the beginning in the Indus valley, you had whole idea of animalistic belief in nature, mother Ganges was revered as a place to wash, to give ritual and transcend human existence. In this next segment we'll talk about the second part of Indian pre-history."
