"Alright, head to knee pose. This is another one that you're going to find in every beginning yoga class. We're going to bring one heel into the groin and extend the other leg out. Thing number one: the hips are too tight. You need to sit up on a block, sit up on a block. The other thing is if you've got pain in your knee of the extended leg, get a blanket and prop your knee up. Don't feel like you absolutely have to straighten that knee and flatten your leg against the floor. If it's not appropriate for you, don't do it. Don't forget your breath. Inhale, we're going to extend the same arm as leg, and as we exhale, we're going to let that hand fall where it falls on the leg, and gently, gently, gently, drop the shoulder toward the knee. I'm not coming up in my hip, I'm keeping my sits bones down allowing the intercostals to open up. Here, again, if you don't feel like it's appropriate for you to reach for your foot in that way, use a strap and gently pull. As you stretch don't forget to breathe. Breathe, yield the weight of your upper body as you sink. Support yourself with your breath. Don't forget about your alignment. Inhale and exhale the whole way through. See if you can stay here for a minute or more. "
