"Hi! I'm Dr. Eric Sayer from Sayer Family Chiropractic. I'm here on behalf of Expert Village. In this segment, we're going to be talking about some of the herbal or nutritional types of things that can be used to treat low back strains. Some of the herbs that are most common or popular for muscle relaxants would be valerian. Valerian is a root that is designed to relax the muscles. Lavender is another type of herb or topical that patients will use. One herb that's used commonly for inflammation would be bromelain. Bromelain is pineapple extract. It works really well for inflammation. Of course those who are allergic to it, stay away from it. Most herbal or nutritional supplements or remedies can be purchased at any health food store or any type of herbal store. Also, most chiropractors or massage therapist, a lot of them will carry herbal supplements. You can even get them online or at a lot of the grocery stores and major chain stores you can find them."
